This statement I am sure will bring to mind the screaming that Jerry McGuire did in the movie, however it seems that in today’s world it is a popular subject not only with the general population but also with the world leaders who are clamoring that there is not enough to go around. So, barring the few “fat cats” who have cheated and knavishly taken billions in profits from the supposedly “American” Companies . . . We are all in the same sinking boat!
Yes, I know . . . It all has been prophesied in ancient religious books, Egyptian, Aztec and Mayan Calendars which writers and also the media find as a great theme to keep up with their readership and viewing public. In the mean time, you may find very difficult to even write in real numbers the quantities of “Dollars” needed, already spent, to be spent and saved (saved?) by cutting off runaway government benefit programs!
Now, if we don’t have any money . . . Where are these billions coming from??? . . . Oh Yes, “we” are borrowing from future earnings . . . !!! All I can say is . . . These “super-smart” Economists who dreamed all the skims that got us here now want to become “undertakers” to finish the job and bury the Greatest and Most Benign Country on this tiny spot of the Universe!!!
As I previously have stated on other topics, I grew up knowing that the American Products were the best in the world! . . . and you know what? . . . They still are the best!!! If that statement was not true, we would not have the mightiest and best equipped Armed Forces of any country since World War II . . . But . . . (Yes there is always a “but”) . . . Again, we don’t have enough money to pay and use those resources!!!
Like a fat guy that knows his overweight is killing him but he keeps eating all the “junk food” he can . . . Our leaders are as blind and keep letting the printing machines “make more money” that they can’t back up with anything of real value! And more, they keep trying to solve the problems of the world like a policeman in the middle of a marital dispute where both sides will end up beating him!!!
So let’s just look at the situation with clear and rested eyes . . . Maybe the picture we see can be made much better for everyone involved.
Starting with Moammar Gadhafi, He is in fact the “King” of a country that since biblical times always has had a “King like” ruler. The people are not used and more likely would not survive if “Democracy” fell on top of them all of a sudden! . . . We have to realize that people do not change overnight or in just a year or so . . . It takes time for people to accept new concepts and generally that happens when the “new generations” start to adopt these changes as they grow. He is a Muslim of the Sunni faith, his opposition (so called “Freedom Fighters” by our news media) are of the Muslim Shi'ite faith.
The problem in the region is one of religious differences. The Sunnies and The Shi'ites are both Muslims who interpret their religion differently and even have suffered persecution due to those differences, much as the Catholics and the Protestants of the middle ages. These are problems that have existed and will exist for many, many years and external influences are not going to change that, but rather may be used by one or the other faction to advance their own interests. We can clearly see that in the present situation. The UN should not interfere with this status quo! Isn’t our premise that freedom of worship is guaranteed? So why take religious sides elsewhere??? We are spending our money and resources solving the unsolvable!
If you want a clear example (of which are many throughout history) Our “wise” leaders decided to take out a ruler that had maintained the status quo in the region leaving his main opposition as the “strong” presence in the region . . . Yes, I am talking about Iran with whom Saddam Hussein, leader of Iraq, waged war where neither of the parties obtained a clear victory but maintained a fragile but consistent peace after that.
Our government for unknown reasons (I can’t believe the report that on the word of only ONE MAN) decided to overthrow Saddam Hussein, instead of stopping after the accomplishment of the destruction of his Army,
They malign Hussein in our media in order to stupidly (I can’t think of a less sharp word to convey the thought) take him out of power. Our leaders (not only our president) made a blunder of a mission that had been accomplished in an outstanding manner and established a war that has been depleting our resources for over a decade. And why is that one person that insighted the whole problem still free??? He owes not only the billions wasted but the many lives of our dear soldiers that perished in this war.
Our politicians out of tune disregarded the fact that Sunni led Iraq was friendlier to US while Iran (with a Shi'ite leader)since the capture of hostages in the US Embassy in their land, has been a stated enemy of our country.
Now, we want to take out another Sunni Leader, Gadhafi !!! ARE THEY CRAZY??? Or are they simply st….!!! As far as France is concern (they have always been against US policy as seen in the conduct of the United Nations) the less influence and power the Us has, the better!!! They dream of times past and would not mind to see US and The UK be left behind with unresolved problems. They wnat to take over the war but not the expense!
You can see what happened with Afghanistan where the fighting of the Al-QaedaSunni people against US has never stopped! Once we defeated Al-Qaeda and they moved to the mountains (where they outlasted Russian occupation) we should have call it a mission complete and return our troops to US.
Makes me wonder, was Obama’s father a Sunni of a Shi'ite? Well since he converted to Christianity that makes no difference, . . . But still, I wonder. I should also add that when I see and read about the Muslims daily prayers and their bowing to GOd I am impressed by their beliefs and manner of worship. But it also confuses me at the fight within thier sects.
As with the ploy of the “Weapons of Mass Destruction”, our government and the Information Media would like to make us believe that the interest of The US is compromiszed because we may suffer by the lack of oil (The oil barons are already taken their millions extra by exploiting this belief).
We have enough oil in our country to supply ourselves and our European allies and we have much more that we can drill. Is that a good solution? . . .
I really think that if our industry who supposedly is interested in making more efficient vehicles would work on a vehicle engine that would run on water (steam) or natural gas, we would have a great global market. So why are they not placing an emphasis (governmental and industrial) on building such a vehicle? Are we waiting for some other country to beat us at the punch???
Dollars… More Dollars … Can we just stop printing “unbacked” money??? Make a law that any paper bill be backed by Gold or Silver!!! We may be short on Gold , but all indications are that we have all kinds of silver and productive mines being worked at 10 to 40% of productivity. We could take care of the monetary system problem by establishing (as before) a Silver backed monetary system and reverse the damage done by removing the gold backing of the Dollar which has brought us to this economic impasse.
Should we do away with Social Security?. . . Or should we stop or reform Medicare?
We need to control our expenses … OK, so I say that we should explore the possibilities, but . . . (Yes there is always a “but”) . . . Not before we make a good cleanup of the system.
As I recall, there have been many reports (the ones that get into the news) of outright larceny and fraud that takes millions (and if they find all, maybe billions) of Dollars from the systems. Our laws should provide for the removal of the hands by sharp instruments ( or better yet, other more delicate portions of their physique) to all those crooks that steal from these programs!!! (LOL) Yes I am getting extreme, but, watching those people get away with such crimes makes my skin crawl! And to think that this area is where our government wants to throw billions into!
Another incredible fact is the profits that drug companies make from the people and the government by overcharging for such drugs in addition to the fact that their development is also subsidize by the tax payer!!! What a sweet deal!!! It is just as when I found out that the taxpayers build the stadiums for our national teams to come and play and charge us millions in ticket sales without even paying rent for the use of “our” plying fields! Sweet, Sweet, Sweet … No wonder the rich get richer and the poor gets …. Oh, well!!!
My final thought . . . We are so great helping everybody all over the world . . . Why can’t we have the smarts to help ourselves??? Jose.Wer
