So it has happened! After 232 Years, the American dream is a reality! . . . The American promise has been fulfilled!
Racism while not totally eradicated, was been dealt a deadly blow! Good for our brothers and sisters of all origins, America this day is truly The Land of Opportunity!
Congratulations Obama, you have guts, now, lead us, show us the way!!!
PS. I know the article should be at least 150 words, however, the historical enormit of the moment can be best expressed in just few words. I myself was a racist but didn't know it. In my country of origin, the indian natives are seen as a "lower" class by the "ladinos" as we call ourselves (Spaniar or European descent).It wasn't until I had lived here in US for many years that I started realizing this pesonality "glitch" and opened my eyes to the value that the natives brought to the country with their art, work, and their culture. They are what remains of the MAYAN culture! I should have looked up, instead of down. I am lucky that I have a small part of them!Blindness occurs in plain light!!!
