About Jose Wer



Born in Guatemala, Central America, Jose migrated to the US as a permanent resident i May 1962.

He was called to serve in The Army in May 1963.

Jose Wer has had a variety of employment assignments where his ability to analyze situations and find the most viable solutions always resulted in praise and recognition.

His analytical problem solving ability was evident in the following assignments:

Cashier/Accounting, Insurance Underwriter

US Army Personnel Clerk, Finance and Accounting clerk, Disbursing/Accounting Section Chief. Finance Quality Assurance Chief. Electronic Technician (Missile Maintenance), Chief Land Combat Support Systems, US Army Recruiter, Recruiting Station Commander, I Corps Assistant G-4 for Missile Maintenance, Project Manager for Army Force Modernization Program.

With over 23 years of service, Master Sergeant (MSG E-8) Wer, retired and worked for high-tech companies (Cabletron, Bay Networks, Nortel)

Opened and managed his own computer store, building Personal Computers to specification and performing hardware repair plus software and Operating System maintenance and problem solving.

He was offered and accepted a position as a high-tech, Fiber Optics technician with a start-up (ground floor opportunity) company named Submarine Systems and later renamed TYCO/TYCOM

After the dissolution of TYCO/TYCOM, he was offered and accepted a position with the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) where he worked several years answering both English and Spanish calls for help and guidance.

He has written an e-book "The us Passport Guide" in both English and Spanish languages.

Presently visually impaired, he had to leave his job and is seeking to work at home. In the meantime he also likes to communicate via the written word.
